Chelsey Cope

with Special Guest Ken Pomeroy

Chelsey Cope has been an active singer/songwriter in the Oklahoma City area for 10 years.

She released her first solo EP in 2012 titled “A Deeper Root”.

In 2013 she was cast in "Rudderless", a locally filmed movie directed by William H Macy featuring Billy Crudup and Anton Yelchin. She played the role of Tolly, a local singer/songwriter and girlfriend of nationally recognized musician Ben Kweller. She can be found playing her original song "Gotta Lot Of Nerve" in one of the bar scenes during an open mic night.

In 2014 she formed the indie rock band Elms, who later opened for bands like New Zealand’s The Naked and Famous and Explosions In The Sky, along with playing multiple festivals with nationally recognized acts.

This past year she has released her first solo LP “Where Nobody Goes”, as well as her newly formed band Vonna Pearl who just debuted their first self entitled record of 2018.

The show at The Factory Showroom will be a rare, intimate performance from this very gifted singer/songwriter/rock vocalist. You may have heard her before, but you have never heard her like this.

Ken Pomeroy

Opening the show will be 15-year-old Ken Pomeroy, a singer/songwriter with a Folk Americana sound. Transcending her age, Ken has a unique vocal quality that blends smoothly with her heartfelt lyrics.  She began singing, writing songs, and playing the Baritone ukulele at age 9.  She quickly learned to play the Concert and Soprano Ukulele, and at age 10 began playing guitar. Every year she is a regular at the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival playing Lou’s Rocky Road Tavern stage.

She has played the Grand Stage at the Riverwind Casino, and she is also a regular at the Oklahoma Rodeo Opry.  In 2016, Ken received the Rising Star award from the Songwriters Association of Norman.

Ken released her debut EP “Minutes to Hours” in 2017; she is currently writing and recording new songs for her follow up CD that will be released in the summer of 2018.
