JABEE: THE LIFE & TIMES

Oklahoma's premier hip-hop artist Jabee Williams has conceived and created a fully immersive   autobiographical live performance exclusively for The Factory Showroom.

The World Premiere event, directed by Chris Freihofer, will be presented for only four performances at 7:30 pm January 11-13, 2018.

SHOW ADDED:  5:00 PM SUNDAY, JANUARY 14

Only 40 seats are available per night.

If you are already Jabee fan, get ready to see him like never before. If you are not yet a fan, get ready to become one.

Jabee: The Life & Times is a new look at Oklahoma's Emmy-winning rapper. Part concert, part documentary, part theater performance, the 90-minute show will be an intimate look behind the artist, told and performed by the artist himself.  It will mix video, music, poetry and spoken word into a unique event unlike anything previously presented at The Factory Showroom or anywhere in Oklahoma.

Jabee will blend old and new songs into a cohesive story of his life, told from his beginning to his future. He will uncover the highs and lows, the triumphs and tragedies that have informed his music and created him to what he is today. It will be raw, painful, joyful and hopeful.

Exclusive merchandise  is available for this show and this show only. It will be an event that will be talked about not only in the Oklahoma music scene, but in the theater circles as well.

Jabee's music, according to Chuck D. from Public Enemy, “has the potential to change the world.” His newest album, Black Future, released in August 2016 with a 4,000-seat sold out show at The Criterion in Oklahoma City. The album reached #25 on iTunes. “Monument,” a track from the album feat. Chuck D., premiered on Billboard.

Jabee has toured with Run the Jewels and Murs, and has been featured on Sway in the Morning, MTV, XXL, Complex, The Source and Vibe.

Jabee received the Oklahoma Gazette’s Woody Award for Best Hip Hop in 2007 and 2009, the Oklahoma Street Music Award for Album of the Year (Blood is the New Black) in 2009, and in 2010 was recognized by URB magazine as an Artist to Watch.

In 2014, Jabee collaborated with Oklahoma City-based marketing agency Funnel Design Group to create “What If?” a television commercial promoting Science Museum Oklahoma. The video won an Emmy for commercial writing and performance.

Jabee toured Europe in 2015 with Swedish hip hop group Looptroop Rockers.

His name is synonymous with raising awareness of Oklahoma homelessness, poverty and injustice. He is respected not only by his friends and neighbors, but also by some of Oklahoma City's as well as the state's top leaders.

Advance tickets are available for $22.50 each.  $30 at the door.  All seats are general admission. Since only 40 tickets are available per show, advance sales are highly recommended.
